Anthony, Hope, Brixie prevail in Ingham County state House primary races
LANSING – Sarah Anthony prevailed Tuesday night in the Democratic primary for the state's 68th House District.
The primary election sets up a Nov. 6 general election against Rosalinda Hernandez, a Republican who ran unopposed in the primary.
Anthony and Hernandez will compete for the seat in the new legislative term that runs from Jan. 1, 2019 to Jan. 1, 2021.
Anthony, 34, also won the Democrats' nod in a second primary race to finish the last few weeks of the current legislative term term. She'll also face Hernandez in that contest. The 68th District seat has been vacant since Andy Schor stepped down to become mayor of Lansing last January.
